The majority, if not all of us will encounter difficulties
with anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, and so on.
If psychotherapy and counselling is something that is on your
mind, perhaps it might be a possibility to consider and you
mayfind that you benefit from the experience.
What's an assessment?
There will be an initial assessment. This is in order to establish what
you would like to achieve, and to see whether we can work
together towards reaching your aims.
I use an assessment form to by way of establishing these factors.
In the consultation we will also discuss our framework, boundaries
for the therapy and the fees.
Are there costs involved?
Fees are at a flat rate and can be viewed to the right of this page.
Home Visits There is no additional cost for Ruislip (HA4).
All other West London and Middlesex addresses will be charged
an extra £5 to cover my travel time and pertrol costs.
What's the difference between a Counsellor
and a Psychotherapist?
In practice, there is very little difference between the two: some
practitioners may choose to call themselves counsellors,
while others call themselves psychotherapists.
Practitioners offering short-term help to patients or clients,
especially those in the voluntary sector - are counsellors,
while those who have trained on a psychotherapy course,
are psychotherapists.
How long does a session last?
A face to face session, including couples, will last for 50 minutes,
once weekly.
Email counselling will be weekly and I will reply to you at the start
and end of each week.
Do you offer short or long term work?
The length of therapy is ongoing.
What if I need to cancel a session?
I require three days notice to cancel a session. If a session needs
to be cancelled on the day the full cost of the session needs to be paid.
What about confidentiality?
I abide by the BACP code of ethics and good conduct which includes
client confidentiality being upheld throughout.
